Speaking after the recent high profile High Court decision on extradition Due Process President, Jacob Rees Mogg MP, said:

“Due Process commends the recent decision by the High Court to prevent the extradition of Lauri Love to the USA. This case highlights by comparison the inherent injustices of the European Arrest Warrant, a system which allows no discretion for UK judges. Had Lauri Love been served an EAW he would have been extradited automatically, without reference to the penal system he would have had to face. Given acknowledged variations in legal standards across the continent we believe that this poses an unacceptable threat to human rights and that it is imperative that British ministers do not concede to remain in the EAW, or to shadow it, on leaving the EU.”
